Bill’s, the chain that started in Chicago and is now based in Illinois, opened its first store in California in January 2008.
The restaurant chain now has over 4,500 locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the U.K., Mexico, Singapore and Taiwan.
The company says its customers are buying more fruits and veggies than ever before, and that more people are shopping online.
Bill and his wife, Mary, are the parents of five children and one grandchild.
He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Bill’s Restaurants Inc., and Mary is the founder and chief operating officer of Whole Foods Market Holdings.
