Roma have won the Serie A title, securing the title for the third time in four seasons.
With the tie at Piazza Produce being played in front of a sell-out crowd, Roma’s 3-1 victory was the first time the Giallorossi have won a Serie A match at Piacenza since January 2014.
The win also secured Roma’s first points in six Serie A games this season, the second time in five years they have won three games in a row at the stadium.
Genoa made a mockery of their title rivals with two late goals from Luca Mascaro.
They remain undefeated in all competitions, with six wins in all four league games, while Rome remain unbeaten in all Serie A fixtures this season.
Rio have now won seven of their last eight Serie A matches, with only three defeats, and the win at Piasola marks their first win over a top-six side since September 2014.
It was the 10th victory in their last 12 league matches.
Gonzalo Higuain scored a late winner for Roma and finished with five shots on goal, but only one of his shots was on target, which was a header from the far post.
Piazza producer was built with a capacity of 30,000 capacity and was home to Roma’s last match of the season.
The game was played at the end of September after Pisa was forced to move to the next phase of the redevelopment of the Piazzas in the city.
There were no plans for the ground to be completely demolished and the ground was used to host Roma’s games during the summer of 2018.
