— Brandon Browners mother is calling for NFL owners to fix the draft position on WR Brandon Taylor, saying his NFL draft stock has been impacted by a trade between his high school teammate and the Atlanta Falcons.
Browners mom, Ashley B. Browner, tweeted on Monday that she was disappointed with the trade between the Falcons and the Patriots, and it’s caused a rift in the WR’s family.
The Falcons traded Taylor to the Patriots in a trade that brought WR Dez Bryant and a third-round pick for a third, sixth and eighth round pick.
Bryant has made the most of his opportunity with the Falcons, playing in five games this season.
Taylor has not yet played a game this season, but his stock has skyrocketed in recent weeks.
He has five touchdowns in the first three games of the season.
Brett Matthews, a fourth-round draft pick of the Falcons in 2017, is now the WR2, behind Taylor and Taylor’s father, who signed a one-year deal with the Jets.
The Falcons will play their second game of the regular season on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers at 7 p.m.
ET on ESPN.
The Patriots have a bye week, so Taylor will have a chance to impress coach Bill Belichick during his first game back with the team on Monday night against the Detroit Lions.
Taylor was not available to the media during his appearance at the Senior Bowl.
